Reflexology body bolsters comms

The Association of Reflexologists (AoR) has brought in its first external PR support to help ‘demystify’ the therapy.

Director of PR Pippa Tucker-Brown said the restructured association hired Republic PR after deciding to invest more in comms.

'There is a growing public interest in alternative treatments, and we have grown to a point where PR is becoming vital,' she added.

'Consumers often perceive reflexology as a complementary therapy. We have briefed Republic to explain the broad range of conditions that can be helped by reflexology. People need to know how available reflexology is and how it can be used.'

Issues management and linking in with relevant events and news will also form part of the brief.

Republic won the account after a two-way pitch.
