Omnicom reveals Q1 PR income rise

New York: Omnicom’s PR revenues for the first quarter of 2006 nudged up 1.5 per cent year-on-year to £145.6m.

The group's largely positive results prompted a three per cent share price increase for the holding company, now in its 20th year.

Omnicom EV-P and CFO Randall Weisenburger said organic PR growth was 4.3 per cent on 2005.

PR represented ten per cent of the company's overall revenue for the quarter.

Omnicom – which overall had a ten per cent increase in net income to £93m – owns agencies including Porter Novelli, Ketchum, Fleishman-Hillard and Gavin Anderson.
