Beer in year round Englishness drive

Brewing firm Charles Wells is using Nexus Communications to help it gain greater recognition of the ‘Englishness’ of its Bombardier beer beyond St George’s Day.

Nexus is handling a consumer assault for Bombardier surrounding England's national day on Sunday, but is also briefed to maintain the momentum through the year.

The account – worth fees of £100,000 – is led by Nexus director Alan Twigg. He is ex-Harrison Cowley, which promoted Bombardier from 2001-2003.

Nexus will focus on English people's pride in their native region, while building Bombardier's 'custodianship' of the cask-ale market.
