US clothing label brings in Exposure

Cult US label Original Penguin has hired Exposure to handle comms in the UK, Europe and the US, as it seeks to expand its distribution network.

The brand launched in 1955 and was bought by Perry Ellis International in 1996. Once a golfing label, it was relaunched in 2002 as a casual clothing collection, and is now worn by stars such as Brad Pitt.

It has been available in the UK as a concession in Selfridges and Urban Outfitters since 2003. Previous UK incumbent Dust PR worked with Original Penguin when the brand first came to Britain, but did not repitch for the account.
