Custard snaps up mobile dating job

Mobile content provider Mobestar has given Custard PR a brief to help launch its dating software, mDate.

The product, which offers anonymous live video and voice calls to willing receivers, was unveiled at February's 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.

Mobestar wants to extend the service to business applications such as advice lines.

Custard, the consumer division of Rainier PR, won a three-way pitch involving incumbent Wildfire PR.

'Wildfire helped establish the Mobestar brand but we needed someone bigger. Custard is focused on the mobile space,' said Mobestar marketing director Nicholas Davis.

Mobestar is presently seeking an AIM listing.
