Keyes shifts to LogicaCMG

Software services group LogicaCMG has snapped up Marconi V-P of investor relations Karen Keyes to be its IR chief.

She reports to chief financial officer Seamus Keating and replaces head of IR Tony Richards, who is retiring.

Keyes will not be replaced at Marconi, where European V-P of investor relations Salim Alam assumes her responsibilities.

Her exit comes after Ericsson bought the majority of the assets of Marconi. Group comms director David Beck and V-P of government affairs Elizabeth Kanter have also subsequently left.

Keyes spent two years at Marconi, having previously worked in business development and government relations roles at Nortel Networks. At LogicaCMG, she will oversee its global investor relations programme, commanding a team of three, including Dutch IR head Heleen Kamerman.

LogicaCMG was created in 2002 by the merger of UK firm Logica and CMG of the Netherlands.

The company posted a 66 per cent rise in pre-tax profits last year.
It acquired French technology services competitor Unilog in January for £631m.

LogicaCMG competes for contracts against companies such as EDS and IBM Global Services. Its current major clients include BMW, BT Group, Deutsche Bank and a number of government agencies, such as the UK National Codification Bureau.
