Revolver faces threat as RHM reviews roster

RHM, the former Rank Hovis MacDougall, is reviewing its consumer agency arrangements across several well-known food brands, including Sharwood’s.

The move threatens Revolver Communications' hold on the business, understood to carry a budget in the region of £300,000.

Revolver has worked with RHM for just under two years and was appointed to a two-strong consumer roster alongside Borkowski PR
only last autumn (PRWeek, 2 September 2005).

RHM's head of licensing Ian Greengrass controls its agency roster and is believed to be lining up meetings with agencies within the next few weeks. The motivation behind the review is unclear. RHM failed to return calls as PRWeek went to press, while Revolver said it was unable to comment on its work for the company.

The RHM account at Revolver was until recently managed by MD Trudi Smith, who left in January,  (PRWeek, 27 January).

Revolver has also worked on frozen food products marketed under the Bisto and McDougalls brands.

Borkowski's arrangements – which span brands such as Hovis, Mr Kipling, Bisto and Nimble bread – are not believed to be under review.
