BMA's EU lobbyist Doran joins BPPA

Bell Pottinger Public Affairs has signed up British Medical Association EU liaison officer Kevin Doran as an account director. He will take up the post on 1 June.

Doran has represented British doctors in Brussels around a raft of policy developments including the Working Time Directive and the Services Directive.

Before that he was an adviser to the minister for the disabled, Angela Eagle. He has also managed the parliamentary office of Alan Donnelly MEP, former leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party.

BPPA managing director Peter Bingle lauded Doran's 'detailed knowledge of the Brussels scene'.
