Letter - Web is a big boost for internal broadcasts

Kate Nicholas writes that a lot of internal broadcasting puts 'real' broadcasters to shame but all too often is delivered via DVDs that no-one has time to watch ('Internal comms leads broadcast vanguard,' 24 February)

I have good news for Kate - that's less and less true. Not because everyone's watching DVDs, but because internal broadcasting via the web is becoming more commonplace and will see a rapid increase in adoption in the coming years.

New software and investment in corporate networks will transform this broadcasting, giving employees at work what their ten-year-olds take for granted at home: video on demand, live broadcasts and interesting podcasts.

TV is the most powerful medium - it's also becoming a powerful tool to improve corporate performance.
