M&F's Roberts to quit for Jefferson

The head of Munro & Forster’s political and stakeholder counsel practice, Dave Roberts, is to join Jefferson Communications.

He will join Anthony Painter and Ian Lindsley, the duo who left The Communications Group in 2003 to set up the corporate and public affairs consultancy.

Since launching, Jefferson has added to its ranks with Ian McKenzie, ex-special adviser to Deputy PM John Prescott, and ex-Grayling Political Strategy director Tony Sophiclides, also a former Prescott aide.

Roberts joined M&F to launch its political practice over two years ago. He previously led the health unit of Westminster Strategy.

M&F said it was recruiting a political director to replace Roberts.
