Giant Sleepover in 'youth firm' hunt

Makers of youth-oriented products are being targeted for sponsorship of a ChildLine fundraiser.

The Giant Sleepover already has the backing of BT and GlaxoSmithKline, but ChildLine has brought in Image Wizard to help attract 'youth firms'.

More than 40,000 six to 11-year-olds are expected to take part in the event on 17-18 June – for which participants register and then sleep at friends' houses.

Last year more than 31,000 people took part worldwide – it was recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the 'largest
simultaneous sleepover'.

Publicity for the event itself centres on a campaign featuring ChildLine founder Esther Rantzen.

The charity was incorporated into the NSPCC at the end of last year, having operated for 20 years.
