Brahm promotes Leeds' legal nous

Law firms in Leeds are aiming to position the Yorkshire city as the best for legal services outside London.

They have hired Brahm after securing Department of Trade and Industry backing for a promotional body called Leeds Legal.

Brahm will handle the body's launch on 27 April, when plans to generate inward investment will be unveiled.

Leeds Legal will seek to attract national and international clients to the city, promoting areas of specialist legal advice including IT and intellectual property law.

'Together the law firms are stronger in pulling in corporate accounts from abroad and the UK,' said Brahm PR manager Pippa Light.

A media relations drive will target national and international newspapers and business and trade press.

The campaign will be spearheaded by three local legal practices, and supported by The Law Society and Marketing Leeds.
