Prodigy promotes LunarStorm in UK

Sweden’s answer to online community has hired PR support as its News Corporation-owned rival moots a UK launch.

Prodigy Communications won the £90,000 consumer and trade brief for LunarStorm UK after a competitive pitch.

LunarStorm faces stiff competition from MySpace, which has become a UK phenomenon despite being hosted in the US.

The commercial potential of such communities – which offer blogs, forums and games – was highlighted when News Corp bought MySpace for £334m last year.
