Accountant body in PA team boost

Britain’s biggest accountancy body has poached Liz Stevenson, senior political researcher for shadow international development secretary Andrew Mitchell, to boost its PA team.

She joins the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales on 27 March as an account executive. The role became available as a result of Luke Herbert's promotion to public affairs manager.

The institute's director of comms Harry McAdoo said: 'The UK PA team, headed by Jonathan Labrey, is providing focus as the Government grapples with company law reform, tax simplification, pensions and financial literacy in schools.'

Stevenson was Mitchell's researcher during his earlier stints as shadow business minister and shadow home office minister.
