Trimedia bids for extra Euro clout

Trimedia Communications has given Germany CEO Bodo Kirf the new role of International V-P with a brief to win more multi- national clients.

Kirf will promote the agency's pan-European offering in a bid to compete effectively with global networks such as Weber Shandwick and Hill & Knowlton, said Trimedia International CEO Michael Murphy.
Kirf will retain his responsibilities as CEO of Trimedia Germany.
'We are not on the shopping lists of pan-European companies despite our 25 offices in 11 European countries,' admitted Murphy.

Trimedia has also promoted its Austria CEO Alfred Autischer to regional CEO for Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Belgium CEO Johnny Kegels becomes regional CEO for France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The moves follow Trimedia's acquisition of French corporate, tech and consumer shop Eurotandem for £6m (PRWeek, 23 February).
