ICA appoints Hyde to top comms job

The Institute of Contemporary Arts has hired Emap’s former client services director Anna Hyde as its top PRO.

Hyde, who joins as director of marketing on Monday, will be the ICA's first permanent comms head since director of comms Joanne Shurvell left last summer.

Hyde spent two years at Emap before becoming a director at I Feel Good Publishing, which was sold to Dennis Publishing in 2003. She
subsequently worked as sales director for Dennis, leaving to work as a freelance consultant last May.

The ICA is currently preparing for its 'Around the World in 80 Days' visual arts exhibition at the ICA and the South London Gallery from 24 May to 16 July.
