The company, which provides the software behind a third of all pay packets and council tax bills, has dropped four-year incumbent Brunswick from the £150,000 account following a four-way pitch. The other firms involved were Financial Dynamics and Bell Pottinger Corporate & Financial.
Northgate instigated the review after a direct intervention from the company's board last year (PRWeek, 2 December 2005).
Northgate's main business divisions are HR, public services and managed services.
The Hemel Hempstead-based company made an operating profit of £18m for the six months ended 31 October, up from £13.7m during the same period in 2004.
