Venezuela to host bullfight comms course

Venezuelan bullfighting comms association, Asociacion de Comunicadores Taurinos de Venezuela (Acotave), has teamed up with national and international universities to launch the country's second communications course on the matador trade.

The course, called Il curso de communicacion taurina, will be held in Merida later this month, according to Acotave president Antonio Arteaga.  It will teach a common protocol for communicating bullfighting and its culture.

Around 30 journalists, PRs, matadors, artists and trade pundits from Ecuador, Peru, Colombia and Venezuela have enrolled, according to teacher Miguel Angel Moncholi.

Moncholi, a bullfighting journalist and professor said the course would teach key techniques  to communicate the subject via TV, print, radio and online ,and would address myths and rites.
