Glover leaves Indigo to launch start-up Bellenden

Mark Glover, the former Media Strategy public affairs partner, has left local government and planning specialist Indigo Public Affairs after just three months to set up his own practice.

Bellenden Public Affairs is a solo operation, with assistance from freelance associates, and Glover plans to recruit full-time staff in around six months. The agency specialises in PA for environment, housing and transport sectors, and in providing expert advice on planning applications.

Bellenden's clients include The Royal Parks and The Environment Agency, represented by Glover since his days at Chelgate, where he was a senior counsellor for five years.

He is also working on industry campaign 'Beyond 2012: Greening The Olympics', which aims to ensure that the Games leave an environmentally friendly legacy. It is appealing to Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell to ensure funding for landscaping and horticulture is guaranteed.

Glover is a Labour councillor in Southwark.
