Publisher Rosmen hires Shekhov to build brand

Alexei Shekhov has been named PR director by publishing house Rosmen.

Shekhov will be responsible for author promotion, competitor evaluation and the creation of a publishing brand.  'As far as I know, up to now not a single publishing house has looked into promoting itself or increasing its brand familiarity,' he said.  'Rosmen...has a real chance of becoming a pioneer in this field.'

Shekhov was previously PR director at contextual advertising firm Begun.  Prior to that he worked as press manager, head of press, and then head of PR for publisher EKSMO.
