Dresdner drafts in FD for 'sex' suit

NEW YORK: Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) – the German investment bank embroiled in a gender discrimination lawsuit – has brought in Financial Dynamics to put its case to the media.

The suit was filed with the New York Federal Court two weeks ago. It involves six American women, one of whom was working in DrKW's London office.

A spokeswoman said: 'We will be vigorously defending ourselves from the allegations, which are an attempt to damage our reputation'.

FD US chief executive Declan Kelly heads the account. The agency will act as a US press office for DrKW, while offering advice.
The plaintiffs' lawyer Douglas Wigdor has already participated in a number of media interviews. In last Sunday's Observer he claimed he was contacted by 'a large number' of other DrKW women, many from the London office. 'There is a high probability that we will file a separate action against [DrKW] in the British court,' he told the paper.
Media relations directors Louise Beeson and Rowan Staines will lead PR when head of corporate communications David Waller leaves for parent firm Allianz next month (PRWeek, 20 Jan).
