Egorov is particularly close to the government of Russian president Vladimir Putin. Egorov partner Ednan Agayev helped form the Russian-American Business Council in 2000 to champion Russian corporate interests.
In 2004 Egorov handled the appeal of two Russian agents convicted by a Qatar court of assassinating Chechen rebel leader Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev.
