Grayling’s Murphy takes on food job

Food industry researcher IGD has signed up Grayling associate director Yvette Murphy as it launches onto the international stage.

IGD provides training and research for the grocery and retail sectors, but is keen to expand outside the UK – a strategy that will form a major part of Murphy's role as corporate comms director. IGD is also pushing its revamped online services.

The board-level position replaces the head of press role that was reviewed following the departure of Jane Whitely last year. Murphy is a former features editor of trade magazine The Grocer.
