He left on Christmas Eve and this week unveiled Brand Faith, 'a strategic branding consultancy'. It is already advising Washington-based advocacy group Landmine Survivors' Network.
Rollinson said he has lined up a 'significant figure from the PR world to get involved' with Brand Faith. He plans to employ around six staff within six months.
He joined B-M when he sold his design firm Giant to the company. Explaining his exit he said: 'I want to be more entrepreneurial again.'
He added: 'I want to enjoy the culture of a small business, and work on branding and brand strategy, rather than generalised marketing.'
Clients of B-M's UK brands and integrated marketing division are believed to include The Environment Agency, Accenture and Ukrainian conglomerate System Capital Management.
B-M's UK CEO Per Heggenes said: 'I rate Mark highly. I am sad to see him go.'
