Deep South USA, the US body that promotes Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee, will kick off the drive on 1 January.
'The theme is that New Orleans is ready to accept visitors again,' said UK Travel and Tourism Marketing PR director Kirsty Dillury. 'And it will lead up to the February Mardi Gras.'
Mississippi, which suffered more severe structural damage than other states, is represented in the UK by Lofthouse Enterprises. Lofthouse is currently thrashing out a timeline for its own PR push.
