Vision Express in agency review

Vision Express is embarking on its first agency review for four years as it looks to complete a two-year brand and marketing revamp.

Four agencies, including incumbent Proof PR are pitching for the Nottingham-based optician's account, with an appointment likely for January.

'We haven't had a review for four years, so we felt it was time,' said Vision Express campaign and PR manager Sally Polak. 'PR is the latest step in a general overhaul of our brand activity that began in 2003.'

In May this year Vision Express announced it was launching an in-store magazine to cement its relationship with loyalty-card holders.

In the next five years it expects to open more than 100 new stores to bring it to nearly 300 in the UK.
