Freuds hires M&S corporate chief

Freud Communications has appointed Marks & Spencer head of corporate comms Lisa Attenborough to lead its corporate practice.

She started in the newly created role last week with a brief to grow the agency's corporate business.

Freuds has also hired The Sunday Telegraph media business correspondent Guy Dennis, who will be based in the corporate team but work across the agency. He starts in January, reporting to
Attenborough and vice-chairman Kris Thykier, who heads Freuds' strategic consultancy practice.

Attenborough was at M&S for three years and before that handled comms for the Financial Times. She has been replaced internally at M&S by corporate PR manager Clair Foster.

Freuds' corporate clients include Pepsico and Digital UK, the body charged with educating consumers on the digital television switchover.

Publicis acquired a 50.1 per cent stake in the agency in June, giving Freuds access to the group's advertising client network.
