RFU lifts lobbying over ticket laws

The Rugby Football Union is using PPS Group as it assists politicians on changing legislation around black market ticket sales.

The agency will also work on a number of parliamentary and European projects for the RFU, including liaison with the All-Party Rugby Union Group and briefing MEPs on the benefits of rugby in the community.

PPS has advised the RFU for almost five years, providing PA and community consultation support on the redevelopment of Twickenham Stadium.

Separately, PPS has promoted Simon Phillips to lead its Birmingham office as associate director and Kevin Howlett to account director in London. Dominic O'Donnell has joined the firm as account manager.
