Meningitis Trust in schools focus

The Meningitis Trust us urging schools to ‘party’ to raise funds and awareness of the disease among its most vulnerable groups – primary and secondary-school kids.

The 'Let's Party!' campaign encourages primary and secondary schools to 'let their hair down after the long winter term' and hold fundraising Christmas parties and events.

'There are so many appeals and campaigns around Christmas that we decided a formal campaign with its own logo and strapline would have more impact,' said spokesperson Julia Fern.

'It is important to make children [and their parents] aware of the risks and symptoms of meningitis,' she added.

The trust is targeting promotional material at education and charity media, as well as national and regional newspapers.
