Publisher Heinemann may have a solution in the form of a book touted by its author as 'the perfect stocking filler' for 11 to 13-year-olds.
The book, Public Relations: Creating an Image, 'explains what mummy and daddy do', says its author, Scotland-based freelance PRO Moi Ali.
Ali, who trades under the name The Pink Anglia Public Relations Company and has penned various marcoms-related books, jokes: 'Better than a tangerine and handful of chocolate coins!'
She adds: 'As well as explaining what PR is, there's a section on its darker side and tips to help children spot the hidden hand of PR.'
Whether this matches up to the latest Harry Potter Diary does not know - but we bet they'll be teaching marcoms theory in kindergarten soon enough.
