Halliburton fills top comms post
HOUSTON: Halliburton, the US firm that controversially holds a number of Iraq reconstruction contracts, has hired a new head of communications.
Cathy Mann has filled the director of communications position, widely considered to be one of the most challenging corporate comms jobs in America.
She replaces Wendy Hall, who resigned in April to spend more time with her family, according to the company. Hall joined Halliburton as its global PR manager in 2000.
Mann joined Halliburton subsidiary Brown & Root (now known as KBR) in 1992. She moved to Halliburton itself in 2004.
