Dr Foster brings in ex-journalist

Dr Foster, the independent provider of research and information products to UK healthcare organisations, has hired a former journalist for the newly created role of PR manager.

Jennifer Taylor has joined from a deputy clinical features editor role at PRWeek sister title GP. She has also formerly worked at MedEconomics and Local Government Chronicle.

Dr Foster wants to boost awareness and sales of its services to the NHS and other organisations.

The research body publishes information, such as guides on the quality of hospital care, and investigates specific disease areas.

Taylor's arrival follows the exit of head of media Rhidian Wynn Davies, who has joined the City news-desk of The Daily Telegraph.
Taylor's role sits within a newly created media and marketing services arm.

The 20-strong team is now headed by newly promoted head of media and marketing services Julian Tyndale-Biscoe.

Dr Foster continues to use Media Strategy for strategic comms advice and product launches.
