MMD takes over Hungarian shop

BUDAPEST: MMD PR, an agency with offices across central and eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, has signalled its faith in the pharmaceutical sector by snapping up Hungarian healthcare minnow StratComm.

Dezso Krisztics, who founded StratComm just two years ago, has become MMD PR Hungary head of healthcare.

Krisztics, who worked for Burson-Marsteller in London in the late-1990s, said some of StratComm's eight staff had moved to MMD,
although others had 'decided not to'.

MMD's healthcare clients now include Novartis, AstraZeneca, Sanofi-Aventis and SCA.

Krisztics reports to Kevin Hasler, who started this week at the helm of MMD's Hungary office, having relocated from the agency's outpost in the Serbian capital, Belgrade.
