Gurling reappears at Media Strategy

Media Strategy has snapped up 3 UK’s former top lobbyist James Gurling – just weeks after it won the 3G firm’s public affairs account.

Gurling becomes an associate partner and will work on the account of his ex-employer. He will also drive new business for the agency as part of its seven-strong 'senior management team'.

Media Strategy MD Charles Lewington said: 'James is a great fit with our business and target sectors, including property, transport, media and telecoms.'

Gurling quit 3 UK in the summer after four years as it announced it was relocating its public affairs function from London to Maidenhead (PRWeek, 24 June).

Media Strategy has also hired Natalie Orringe, ex-media officer at Westminster City Council, as a consultant.
