Missing Helpline in BBC campaign

The National Missing Persons Helpline (NMPH) is teaming up with BBC1 for a Christmas campaign.

The channel will screen ten episodes of a new series of Missing in December, with each 45-minute programme asking viewers to help 'solve a missing person mystery'.

The NMPH – the only UK charity dedicated to finding missing people –will run a media relations campaign promoting the series.

A priority will be differentiating the NMPH, which searches for long-term missing people, from the police, who track those recently
reported missing.

The first series of Missing was broadcast on BBC1 during Missing Persons Month in May.
