'Richard joined us as an account executive in December 1988 and within a fortnight was helping to manage an environmental launch that subsequently attracted global media attention.
'To his credit, Richard took the challenges in his stride and thrived on this tough assignment. From the outset he was a natural communicator with strong persuasive skills and a real desire to succeed. It was clear early on that Richard was destined to do well and it's pleasing to watch his career progress.
'He's held senior PR roles at a major telecom firm and a FTSE-quoted brewer. But his crowning achievement has been his contribution to rugby.
Now that must be worth a couple of match tickets.'
