The agency won the brief, believed to be worth up to £500,000 a year, last week after a four-way pitch understood to have involved Freud Communications, Ketchum and incumbent The Red Consultancy.
WS will take over Red's brief, which covered the Gillette-owned German manufacturer's shaving and depilation products, as well
as its kitchen and haircare ranges.
The agency will also be tasked with providing proactive media relations aimed at gaining coverage in lifestyle and national press.
Responsibility for the account at WS will be decided at the first client meeting, expected before the end of the month, involving Braun business unit director Georg Mueller-Hof. The WS team will report to Mueller-Hof.
As well as shavers, Braun also makes kettles, juicers, food preparation products and hairdryers.
