Director Jo Spink said: 'We are the first healthcare agency to launch a specialist division for aesthetics – the bigger agencies are sure to follow our lead.'
She added: 'This is going to be a huge new area of comms in which companies require a lot more than traditional PR support.'
Spink, which has seven staff, derives two thirds of its fee income from the aesthetics sector. Clients include Mentor (for Puragen UK),
i-clear, Filorga and The Perfect Smile Studios.
Jo Spink is recruiting two further staff for the division, which currently has two employees.
Separately, Spink director Justin Wilkes is setting up a trade body to represent practitioners and clinics using injectables.
A first meeting of its steering group is likely to be held next month.
