Smeeth quits F-H after six months

Fleishman-Hillard’s UK healthcare boss, Michael Smeeth, has left the agency just six months after joining from Good Relations.

Smeeth's exit follows the departure of F-H European healthcare chief Patrick Krol, who left in July. He was in the role less than 12 weeks.

PRWeek understands Smeeth's priority is to spend time with an unwell family member. He then wants to return to a consultancy role.
F-H Europe regional director for the UK and South Africa Kevin Bell said: 'Michael is a great guy and we are sorry to see him go.'

Bell said he already had replacements for Smeeth and Krol lined up, and expected to unveil new F-H healthcare bosses within days.

F-H UK healthcare associate director Claire Eldridge recently quit (PRWeek, 30 September).
