Scottish heritage in publicity effort

The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland has brought in Edinburgh-based Great Circle as its first PR agency.

Circle will promote a series of workshops around the UK, including one on the life and work of Scottish architect Basil Spence.

A campaign will target local, regional and specialist trade press. Circle is also promoting the commission's recently published book,  Controversy on the Clyde.

'The commission is thinking about a name change to get away from its stuffy image,' said Circle consultant Beverly Bruce.
