Cohn & Wolfe nets post-16 skills job

The Learning & Skills Council (LSC), which oversees post-16 education, has brought in Cohn & Wolfe to handle its corporate PR and stakeholder relations.

The LSC is responsible for sixth-form and further education colleges and exists to make England more skilled and competitive. C&W is charged with raising the profile of the LSC's new manifesto, Agenda for Change, launched last month.

'We need to help people to understand the contribution that this sector makes in terms of developing the skills of people who decide not to go to university,' said corporate MD Stephen Doherty, who leads the account.

C&W beat Blue Rubicon, Trimedia Communications, Luther Pendragon and incumbent Hill & Knowlton to scoop the account, thought to be worth around £100,000.
