Pitch PR wins yacht brief

Dutch bank ABN Amro is using Pitch PR to handle a 12-month global campaign for its team sponsorship in the 2005-2006 Volvo Ocean Race, the round-the-world yachting fest that starts in November.

ABN Amro's two-boat team marks the firm's first major international sports marketing campaign.

Pitch will manage all media requests during the race, including crisis comms, and run press conferences at stopover ports. The race starts in Spain on 12 November and ends in Sweden in July 2006.

Pitch will work with ABN Amro's agencies, such as Golin Harris, in their home markets.
