Diary: HC release: better before the editing
PR firm Harrison Cowley was so keen to let us know it had inked a contract to promote nursery label Mamas and Papas' new brand, Ziko, that it accidentally emailed us a release announcing the news with editing changes still highlighted in red.
We actually preferred the original version before it was amended by the
client, taking out product details and brand marketing plans that were
apparently seen as too spicy for us to know about.
To his credit, HC consumer head Daniel Cohen immediately owns up to the
blunder, blushing: 'Mistakes do happen and a lot of work went into the
release that PRWeek was not meant to realise.' Oops.
