Lomax joined the agency last week as a consultant after three years as PA officer for TSA. He worked to ensure the voluntary sector was involved in emergency planning within the 2004 Civil Contingencies Act. He also helped to limit the number of 'supercasinos' licensed under the Gambling Act.
The agency is keen to capitalise on Lomax's political campaigning and media experience. Before TSA, he was researcher and speechwriter for Labour MP for Hamilton South Bill Tynan, who stood down at the last general election. TSA is recruiting for a replacement.
