Campaign to push 'business booker'

The Financial Times is preparing a PR drive before it announces the shortlist for its inaugural Business Book of the Year Award.

Sponsored by Goldman Sachs, it is being billed as the first major award for a business book, with a £30,000 prize for the winning author.

Judges will convene in New York next month to draw up a shortlist, which will be announced in full at a 'breakfast ceremony' held at the FT's London offices in mid-September.

The winning book will then be unveiled at a ceremony in central London in November.

Midas PR has been brought in to handle events and publicity for the award.
