Voluntary Sector: Cats Protection revamps website

Cat welfare charity Cats Protection is promoting its relaunched website in a bid to boost awareness of its work with stray and abandoned cats.

The cats.org.uk site has been redesigned to take advantage of what it describes as 'the public's growing interest in cats', and now includes a national events diary, details of the charity's work, a media centre with a press release database and information about feline health issues.

As well as encouraging people to donate online, the site gives the charity a showcase for its cat adoption schemes, media coverage and education resources for teachers.

Cats Protection acting head of marketing Susan Gorridge said the charity was also keen promote its 'strong regional presence'. She added that a search facility allowing users to find branches, adoption centres and shops was an important addition to the site.
