Amgen set to hire corporate agency

LUCERNE: Amgen, the world's largest biotech company, has held discussions with agencies over a European corporate contract.

The California-headquartered firm, whose European HQ is in the Swiss lake town of Lucerne, is behind products such as Aranesp, a treatment for chemotherapy-induced anaemia.

It is seeking to bring in fresh agency backing to promote its reputation across the Continent.

Amgen currently uses Chandler Chicco Agency on a brief that includes corporate work, as well as product PR. CCA is not pitching for the work up for grabs, which is understood to be a newly created brief.
