Diary: Agenda drawn up for Meetings Week

Anyone bothered by the increase in conference calls and the ubiquity of instant messaging will be relieved to hear that the art of 'face-to-face interaction' will be showcased in the fifth National Meetings Week this October.

Meeting-philes can sign up to the 'I love meetings' campaign, meet up with fellow meetings aficionados to discuss what it is they love so much about meetings - and then dig out their favourite name badge and head along to Chelsea Football Club's Stamford Bridge ground on 3 October for the grand launch of National Meetings Week itself.

A spokesperson for the week, which is funded by meetings and conference organisational body Meetings & Incentive Travel, said the idea was to 'promote the understanding of the financial value of the conference industry', but also to 'get more people to generally meet each other'.

PRWeek has already scheduled a meeting to decide who gets to attend.
