Chelsea Financial Services has snapped up Professional Adviser deputy editor Andrew Denton to run its small press office.
Denton, who has worked in journalism for nine years, has been deputy editor for the past four months and replaces Ben Larter as Chelsea's only press officer.
Prior to becoming deputy editor, Denton spent 18 months as Professional Adviser news editor. He now reports to Chelsea managing director Darius McDermott.
Larter joined Penrose Financial in June as an account director working in the retail finance team headed by Claire Burston.
Founded in 1983 as a firm of independent financial advisers, Chelsea was one of the first IFA companies to discount initial charges on unit trusts and bonds, personal equity plans and individual savings accounts.
Penrose has also hired Fishburn Hedges consultant Emma Oakman, who has joined as account manager. Oakman spent 15 months in FH's financial practice, working on capital market transactions, and was previously at Brunswick.
