Diary: Armstrong sought for Wakefield event

If there are any Neil Armstrongs in the industry, now is the time to cash in on the years of 'one small step...' gags and take advantage of your famous namesake.

Yorkshire-based agency Green Communications is looking for a Neil Armstrong to open the 'Conspiracy' exhibition at the Art of Propaganda Gallery in Wakefield next week.

Green's Chris Burns says the original Neil Armstrong had been approached but, as the event clashed with the moonlanding anniversary, had 'already been committed to other events'. Can't argue with that.

So far, Burns reveals that he has uncovered 'a number of Armstrongs but no Neils'. But with the exhibition opening on Monday, time is running out.

'All they'll have to do is open the exhibition, drink some champagne and have their picture taken,' Burns tells PRWeek.

Burns can be reached at mission control on 0845 4503 210.
